作為紳士，或者世家的子弟，只要西服上了身， 永遠不要記得你穿著什麼衣服。這是原則中的原則。男人的著裝，應當用眼光挑選，用心穿著；而當穿戴事畢，請忘記身上這一切。（“A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgotten all about them.” ）。所以，始終無法忘卻身上名牌西服的人，便很難做一個紳士。 

男人的著裝，雖然也關乎品牌和錢財，但是，最關乎的，其實是 氣質和教养
